Each class will center around the region specified and include history of the tyers and their flies.
Classes 1 & 2
  1. NH & NE history of streamer flies, the tyers and popular patterns - Carrie Stevens - Herb Welch - Emile Letourneau.  Rangleley Maine was considered the birthplace of many streamer patterns, after WWII the area was booming with anglers looking for flies.
  2. Streamer tyers of Lake Sunapee and their flies - Ora Smith - Chet Dubriske - Lefty Harris.  Lake Sunapee originally was a brook trout lake but it was fished out by the locals, later land locked salmon was introduced. Today anglers fish for salmon with streamer patterns created years ago.

Scott will tie one of the flies discussed in the class
demonstrating the process step by step with additional
information on materials and techniques used.
Classes 3 & 4
        3.  Streamer tyers of Lake Winnipesaukee and their fly patterns -
Jim Warner, Hank Northridge, Rick Estes.  Often referred to as
The Big Lake, Winnipesaukee was put on the map for anglers by
              fly tyer Jim Warner.

         4. Small casting streamers of NH and New England the fly tyers who
originated them - Ellis Hatch, Ray Salminen, Dick Eastman.
These smaller   casting streamers were and still remain staples
for many anglers fishing in NH and NE waters.  Each pattern has a
story to go along with it and usually a character who is part of the
              history.
